Why is my network connection timing out when trying to download ipod updates?

It been ongoing for over a month, i've paid 拢6 for it and i can't even use it, how do i change the network settings???Why is my network connection timing out when trying to download ipod updates?

Network connections usually time out when ;

There are several programme's running at the same time which need alot of power to run.

You are doing several things like IM,Watching Videos,Listening to music at the same time



It also disconnect when

there are several computers/laptops/game consoles etc

connected to one router

If there are too many things connected your router basically gives up



If you have wireless

Most routers have an exception point(a point where if you go out of boundaries you'll disconnect)





So

What i would recommend

'Don't run any other programme's when attempting to update apple(apart from apple update ofc)

Get close to the router(if your wireless)

if your wired thats fine



Make sure nothing else is connected to the router

The only other thing i could think of is a firewall

which turns off the network connection



It could also be your router

make sure you have a decent router

which has wireless capabilities
