How to change my network name? HELP!?

Ok, changing my computer name won't work! because when i scan the SSID with my psp i still see the same name!



My router is ADSL2+ Ethernet and USB Modem



Windows : Vista



I have Acanac modem

Please i really want to change it! It is not lynsky and i do not see a wireless option in my router...

You are connecting to your router, right? Just checking, I've seen some people that *think* theirs is wireless but they're really piggybacking on a neighbor. Look for an antenna on your router, or find the exact model number (should be on the back/bottom) and someone here can find the specifications and setup manual.



You need to log onto the web admin page and change the wireless settings. There are only a handfull common pages that this is found under, I'll try to list them all.

Usernames are usually one of these:

(no username)

admin

root



Passwords are usually one of these, unless you changed it to something else:

(no password)

admin

Admin

password

password1

Password

Administrator



When you get logged into your router, there should be a link somewhere for ';Wireless Settings'; or something similar. Under that there should be a page for ';General'; ';Name'; ';Security'; ';Basic'; or somthing like that where you can type in a new SSID/Name and save the changes.
