How do i change my mobile network and keep my old number?

i would like to change networks from t-mobile to 02 without getting rid of my old number. i have a Nokia 6300 and live in the UK.

please help! How do i change my mobile network and keep my old number?
you will need to call T-Mobile and ask for a PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code). If you are on contract, you will need to wait until your contract is up or pay early termination fees to get out of the contract early.

Once you have the PAC, call o2 and advise that you have a PAC from your current service provider and you would like to change to their network. you can also go into any o2 store and do this

it normally takes 2 full working days to port over from one network to another. you will lose any information you have on your t-mobile sim so be sure to back up anything that you will want to keep like pics, contact, etc.

you will also need to check whether your phone is locked to t-mobile. if it is, you can it unlocked for about 拢10 in any cheap phone shop so that the o2 sim will work in itHow do i change my mobile network and keep my old number?
idk
Dont cancel your old account until you start making the new account. I used to have Sprint %26amp; then i cancelled it to go to T-Mobile. But when I asked T-Mobile if i could get my old number they said i had to re-activate my Sprint account but it was too much money so i couldnt. SO DONT CANCEL YOUR OLD ACCOUNT YET UNTIL YOU TELL YOU NEW CARRIER YOU WANT YOUR OLD NUMBER.
