How to change the network key of a wireless connection?

Okay here's the situation.

Recently a computer was purchased and a try to access the INTERNET via wireless connection failed to a connection key error.

The error was that the old network key was entered

Is there a way to change this key to the correct one. The computer that I have has the vista os but the computer that was being configured has the xp os so it's kind a alien to me.

Thanks a lot.How to change the network key of a wireless connection?
Yeah, just type in the correct one next time you try to connect.

That message just means that you made a typographical error when entering the passkey the first time. Either that or you entered the wrong passkey altogether.

Just try again and enter the right one this time. How to change the network key of a wireless connection?
The wireless Key is in the router. Get out the user guide, go to the router's web config page and go to the security section. Either read the key or set a new one. You can get that user guide from the makers website for that model.

On the computer, click Start, My Network Places, then the menu item ';setup home or office network'; and follow that to give it the SSID and the key.
