I have got a code to unlock my phone to change network? How do i imput it?

It tell me to input code when sim is out, How do I when all the phone says is insert sim, and the only numbers it accepts are emergency numbers 9 and 1?I have got a code to unlock my phone to change network? How do i imput it?

It depends what phone it is. Don't get it wrong though, if you cock it up 3 times it'll simlock your phone. I know, i've just done it!
well if you put the sim in and the phone's not accepting it cos its locked to a different network, then it should be saying something like 'enter restriction code' and then you put the unlocking code in.. oh that's for Nokias, I'm not sure about Sony Ericssons, to be on the safe side get it unlocked from a phone shop on the high street or something, they only charge about five quid
